I opened this bottle, made with the serine grape, a form of syrah that is often said to be a precursor of modern clones. It was savory, peppery, floral and meaty, and as Texier wines often do, it made me feel a lot better.

The limestone soils reveal a very different expression than granites that dominate the soils of the Northern Rhône. Eric Texier has a style all his own. The wines are close to the fruit while being free.
If all sulfur free wines could have the same finish as those of the domain!
